Meet Rach.
Rach Ranton has led an adventurous and genre-busting life.
She’s a TED speaker, an ex-Banker, a learner surfer, an author, a Board and Departmental advisor, and an Australian Army veteran of East Timor and Afghanistan.
As an Electronic Warfare operator, she embedded within frontline patrols, providing intercept, analysis, warning and advice on the battlefield. She was the first woman in the Australian Army to be awarded a commendation for service in Afghanistan in 2006.
Post-service, Rach carved out a decade-long corporate career, rising through the ranks to lead large teams in the finance sector to the top of leaderboards. These included leadership roles managing multi-billion portfolios in Sales and Service and Profit/Loss, along with executive roles in Change and Organisational Development.
She designed and delivered world-leading Neurodiversity and Veterans Hiring programs, alongside cutting-edge cultural change and leadership programs which were implemented across the forty-thousand-strong workforce at Westpac Bank.
Her honours and awards include;
- Prime Minister’s Veteran Employee of the Year
- University of Southern Queensland’s Professional Alumnus of the Year, and
- Deputy Chief of Joint Operations Silver Commendation (Afghanistan)
Rach loves powerlifting, surfing, and camping and fishing in the most remote places in Australia.
