Having served for more than a decade in the Australian Army, including tours of volatile East Timor and Afghanistan, Rachel Ranton is a woman to be reckoned with.
With no banking experience, Rachel says the transition from soldier to Branch Manager presented a unique challenge.

After serving Australian Army as a Signaller and Section Commander, Rachel Ranton joined St George Bank as a Branch Manager in Southern Queensland. The military skills that Rachel has brought to Westpac and have been highly valued by the organisation include leadership, communication, planning and coaching.
Rach was particularly successful in transforming the culture of the branches she managed, to create high performing teams that could operate with autonomy and exceed customer expectations.
Her effective communication skills are highly valued consulting in Inclusion and Diversity, supporting Westpac’s Autism Program, Women of Influence Awards and Veterans Employee Action Group.
